ABOUT PENLOE

Independent since 2009.

Penloe was established in Truro, Cornwall in 2009, with a simple idea: bring together the brands, products and culture we genuinely believe in, all under one roof.

More than 15 years later, we're still here, still independent and still doing things our own way.

Based in the heart of Truro, Penloe brings together streetwear, skate, surf and lifestyle, carefully selecting products from some of the world's most respected brands alongside the new names we think deserve a place.

CURATED, NOT JUST STOCKED.

We're not interested in filling shelves for the sake of it.

Everything at Penloe is selected by us. From established names such as Carhartt WIP, OBEY, Dime, HUF and New Balance Numeric to limited editions, collaborations and smaller collections, our aim is to offer something worth discovering.

That means buying differently, taking chances on products we like and constantly looking for what's next.

BORN IN TRURO.

Cornwall isn't just where our shop happens to be. It's home.

We've been part of Truro's independent retail scene since 2009 and we're proud to have built Penloe here.

While retail has changed enormously during that time, our belief in a great independent shop hasn't.

Somewhere you can walk through the door, have a look around, discover something new, talk to an actual human and leave with something you're genuinely pleased you found.

INDEPENDENT. AND PROUD OF IT.

Penloe isn't a chain.

There isn't a head office hundreds of miles away deciding what goes on our shelves.

We do.

The people choosing the products are the same people you'll find working in the business. It allows us to react quickly, support the brands we believe in and give Penloe its own identity rather than looking like every other retailer.

And that's exactly how we intend to keep it.
